H1N1 Flu Visitation
Alert
Visitors who are sick, or have cold or flu-like symptoms, are
asked to NOT VISIT patients
in the hospital.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us protect our
patients from potential exposure to the H1N1 virus and other illnesses. If you
would like to share well wishes with a Bethesda patient, please use one of the
following methods:

To speak with a Bethesda patient, please call (561) 737-7733
and the operator will connect you to the patient's room;

Click here to send a personalized message with a FREE e-card. A
Bethesda volunteer will print your message and deliver it to the
patient;

Send flowers or gifts from the Bethesda Auxiliary Gift Shop.
Call (561) 737-7733, ext. 4469. An Auxiliary volunteer can help you
select a gift and have it delivered to the patient's room. Payment can be made
by credit card over the phone. The Auxiliary Gift Shop is open Monday through
Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00
p.m.

In addition, here is a list of services that we provide for
the comfort and convenience of our patients and guests.
Administration An administrator is available at all
times to assist you with any concerns you may have during your stay. During
regular business hours, please call (561) 737-7733, ext. 4402. After 5:00 p.m.
and on weekends, please call (561) 737-7733 and ask for the Nursing
Supervisor.
Automated Teller Machine (ATM) For your convenience, an
ATM machine is located on the first floor across from the Admitting
Office.
Barber/Hair Styling Services Cosmetology
services such as hair care can be arranged by contacting your nurse. Fees are
due at the time of services.
Benefactors Pavilion In response to
patients' requests for larger, more luxurious room accommodations, Bethesda
offers the Benefactors Pavilion. For
more information about the Benefactors Pavilion, please call the Bethesda
Hospital Foundation at ext. 4445 or see your nurse.
Centralized Scheduling To schedule an
appointment for an outpatient procedure or service, please call Centralized
Scheduling at (561) 374-5700.
Dining/Snacks Please note that hospitalized
patients must have physician approval to eat any food other than what is served
in their rooms. For the convenience of our visitors, Bethesda Memorial
Hospital has a Dining Room on the Lower Level that is open daily from 7:00 a.m.
to 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A full-course menu is offered,
with made-to-order sandwiches and grilled items. Looking for a cup
of coffee or a quick bite to eat? The Bethesda Café is open Monday through
Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30
p.m. in the Main Lobby.
Water, soft drink and snack vending machines
are located outside the Dining Room and by the Emergency Department waiting
room. A microwave also is located outside the Dining Room.
Gift
Shop The Auxiliary-operated Gift Shop is located on the first floor by the Main Lobby. Visitors may
purchase flowers, balloons, candy, stuffed animals and an array of gifts
including magazines and greeting cards. All proceeds from the Gift Shop go to
support patient care needs at Bethesda Memorial Hospital. Gift Shop hours are:
Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to
6:00 p.m.

Internet Access Free wireless Internet
access is available for patients and guests throughout Bethesda Memorial
Hospital and the Bethesda Heart Institute.
Lost and Found The Hospital maintains a lost
and found area. If you have lost a personal item, please call Environmental
Services at (561) 737-7733, ext. 4446.

Newspapers The Palm Beach Post and
the Sun-Sentinel are available inside the Ambulatory Surgery Center
entrance and outside the Outpatient Pavilion entrance on the first
floor.
Mail & Flowers Hospital volunteers
deliver mail and flowers to patients every day. Any questions or concerns about
mail and flower delivery can be directed to the Volunteer Office by calling
(561) 737-7733, ext. 4468.
Medical Records To request a copy of your
medical records, please call Health Information Management at (561) 737-7733,
ext. 4271.
Notary Public The services of a notary
public are available free of charge to guests in the hospital, Monday through
Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, please call Health

Patient Financial Services If you have
questions about your hospital bill, please call Patient Financial
Services at (561) 732-2455.
Physician Referral Whether you are looking
for a primary care physician or a specialist, we can help you find a doctor from
a panel of more than 350 physicians on the medical staff of Bethesda Memorial
Hospital. Physician Referral Service is available Monday through Friday,
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, call the Physician

Smoke-Free
Policy Bethesda Memorial Hospital is committed to the promotion of
good health. In compliance with Florida's Clean Indoor Air Act, smoking is not
permitted anywhere within the hospital.
Spiritual
Care Bethesda recognizes the religious faiths of its patients and
visitors. Please notify your nurse if you would like to speak with a minister,
priest or rabbi. In addition, Bethesda provides a Prayer Room located on
the first floor across from the Gift
Shop.
Telephones Pay phones are located across from
the Admitting Office on the first floor.
Transportation Bethesda offers a
complimentary transportation service for patients who have an appointment
at Bethesda or at any of its affiliates. For more information and to

The Boynton Beach Trolley is a FREE
transportation service provided by the Boynton Beach CRA. For more information,

TTYs and Assistance for Those Who are Deaf or Hard
of Hearing To ensure effective communication with patients and their
companions who are deaf or hard of hearing, we provide appropriate auxiliary
aids and services free of charge, including: sign
language interpreters, teletypewriters (TTYs), telephone handset
amplifiers, assistive listening devices, telephones compatible with hearing
aids, closed caption decoders and open and closed captioning. Patients should
ask their nurse for assistance.
Valet Parking Free
valet parking is available for patients and visitors Monday through Friday at
three locations: the Main Entrance of the Hospital from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.;
the Outpatient Pavilion from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and the Emergency
Department from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Visiting Hours Visitors play an important role in
every patient's recovery. That is why the following visiting hours have been set
up with the patient's well being in mind. Visitors are required to have a
Visitor's Pass at all times.

Nursery 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Fathers are welcome
anytime. Siblings only please. Must be accompanied by an adult.
Labor & Delivery Limited visitation; two
visitors permitted with wrist bands.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Parents may
visit: 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. 8:00 p.m. to 6:30
a.m.
Children's Center (Pediatrics) Parents may visit
anytime. Siblings may visit when accompanied by a parent.
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Parents may
visit: 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Siblings may visit when accompanied by a
parent.
